“Crkva Svetog srca Kuninog”, mural s potpisom Borisa Bareta | “Church of the Sacred Heart of Kuna”, mural by Boris Bare

Zagreb street art artist Boris Bare painted a mural “Church of the Sacred Heart of Kuna” as part of the Ohoho Festival in Medica.

As Boris Bare himself stated, Medica is a sacred place for some, although it can sometimes look like an abandoned church or monastery. Because of that, he came up with the idea to portray his friend Kuna Skater as a saint painted on the glass of a stained glass window. Shown as a saint, he has the attributes of a skateboard, a bottle of a strange drink, and an umbrella instead of the expected aurora over his head.

The work has no intention of making fun of saints, religion, faith, but its goal is to make people laugh, cheer up and immortalize the Kuna in the scene as Boris Bare sees it.
